Dr Steven Lane is a clinical haematologist interested in all aspects of benign and malignant haematology, with a particular focus on myeloid disorders such as acute myeloid leukaemia, myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
Dr Lane achieved his medical degree from the University of Queensland and subsequently completed his clinical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital.
He undertook a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA from 2008-2011, focusing on new treatments for acute myeloid leukaemia. In 2011, he returned to Australia and took up a position as clinical haematologist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and as a research laboratory head at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.
