Graduating from Sydney University in 1978, Dr May completed a three-year residency at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, as well as a diploma of obstetrics through Paddington Women's Hospital. He then went on to train in London for three years, where he completed additional training in obstetrics and achieved his Diploma in Child Health and Diploma in Anaesthetics.
In January, he began general practice at Coffs Medical Centre and, in 1991, Dr May was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr May is committed to ongoing medical education and family health.
