Dr. Stephen Smith has been a principal at the Ivanhoe Medical Clinic since 1985 and continues in full time practice.
He completed his university degrees at Melbourne University & the Austin Hospital Medical School. He was a resident at the Austin Hospital for two years and then worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital for 3 years. During this time he completed rotations in all fields of medicine including surgery,obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics, and geriatrics. He enjoys all fields of medicine.
He has been involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and young doctors.
Outside of work, family is first, but he also enjoys all sports, especially golf and football, travelling, camping, and fine food and wine.
Consulting times: All day Monday, Wednesday including evening clinic & Friday. Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Nursing home visits Tuesday afternoons Weekend roster
