Dr Steve Coleman has over 25 years experience as an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist conditions, including microsurgery and joint replacement.
Dr Coleman graduated in Medicine at University of Queensland and completed Orthopaedic Surgery training in 1983. He did post fellowship training in UK, USA and Brisbane. He was a senior Orthopaedic Consultant at Princess Alexandra form 1983-2002. He was a foundation member of the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Clinic since 1996, and is still a member of that clinic, the largest group of Upper Limb specialists in Queensland. Dr Coleman lectures Nationally and Internationally on aspects of hand Surgery.
His practice is restricted to surgery of the hand, wrist and microsurgery. The particular interests are arthritic surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome and Dupuytren’s contracture. He is also a currently certified American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) and conducts a medicolegal practice. He consults at clinics at Brisbane Private Hospital and Cleveland. Surgery can be conducted at Brisbane Private Hospital or Mater Private Hospital Redlands.
