After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1973, I completed a Diploma in Obstetrics at the Royal Women’s Hospital before starting anaesthetic training, which I completed in 1981. I was then was employed as a Staff Anaesthetist at Austin Health, the University Hospital of Wales and then the Royal Women’s Hospital. Subsequently, I was appointed Deputy Director and Director of Anaesthesia at the Royal Women’s Hospital. In 1997 I completed a Master of Business. In 1998 I joined Anaesthetic Services and took up my current appointments as a Visiting Specialist Anaesthetist at Austin Health and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, which I combine with private practice primarily at Epworth Richmond, Freemasons, St. Vincent’s, Cabrini and The Avenue Private Hospitals.

I regularly anaesthetise for urological, general, gynaecological, plastic, spinal, paediatric, orthopaedic, ENT, vascular and ophthalmic surgery.
