Dr Sophie Scamps, MBBS MPH MSc FRACGP - Dr Sophie brings an impressive academic résumé. After studying medicine at Sydney University, she earned a Master of Public Health from the University of NSW and a Master of Science from Oxford University. Dr Sophie also has diplomas in sexual reproductive health and skin cancer management. Following rewarding but demanding stints in emergency medicine in Canberra and at Royal North Shore and Mona Vale Hospitals, she decided that she would much rather be able to develop ongoing relationships with her patients. So Dr. Sophie became a GP. Married with three children, this former 800m runner now jogs with friends for fun and fitness. In her own words, she "loves nothing more than to pinch my kids' boogie board when we're at the beach and have a good surf." BTW, her surname is Belgian and pronounced Scomps.
