Sophie’s formal qualifications are as impressive as her wide-ranging clinical experience.

She graduated from Medicine at Monash University in 2011, spending the next four years working with Alfred Health and its affiliated hospitals. It’s here Sophie spent considerable time in adult internal medicine – the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of chronic and short-term conditions most commonly seen in adults.

During this time, Sophie also completed a Diploma of Child Health from Sydney University. This extra paediatrics training amplified her prior experience treating children and young people.

Sophie went on to complete her GP specialty training in 2018 after gaining 12 months’ experience in HIV and sexual health.

She loves caring for patients of diverse backgrounds, sexualities and genders, and enjoys all aspects of general practice including:

  • Chronic disease management
  • Women’s health
  • Children’s health
  • Sexual health
  • Preventative medicine
  • Mental health

Outside of the clinic, Sophie travels as much as possible, keeps fit and cooks feasts for family and friends. She’s also no stranger to getting lost in a good book.
