Dr Simon Thibault completed his studies in medicine and surgery at the University of Sydney in 1994 and worked in the fields of General Medicine, Cancer Medicine and Psychiatry before specialising in Phlebology and Cosmetic Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology(ACP), having completed the requirements to pass the Board´s Certification Exams. He is currently Censor in Chief of the ACP, a role that involves overseeing the examinations for all vein specialist trainees in the ACP. He became President elect of the ACP in 2018. He is also involved in teaching vein treatments to trainees. He has undergone training in the latest techniques of cosmetic medicine including the use of botulinum toxin, and dermal fillers and is a Full Member of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia. He has special interests in ultrasound–guided sclerotherapy and endovenous laser treatment including their use in major varicose veins and venous ulceration, as well as in modern non–surgical cosmetic procedures.
