Dr Sidd Sarmah trained in general practice and emergency medicine in the UK going on to complete his membership from the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has also been heavily involved with teaching and training of medical students and registrars in the UK. A doctor with an entrepreneurial mind, he has started and successfully managed general practice clinics in the UK .He and his young family immigrated to Australia in search of newer pastures and settled in the “sunshine state” of Queensland.
He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has been actively involved in developing and delivering quality medicine through his clinics.
He has a special interest in skin cancer and musculoskeletal medicine.
He has also been actively involved in setting up clinics for the diagnosis and treatment of snoring and Sleep Apnoea in the community.
He is heading the team at QMC as a director with the aim of developing the practices into a hub which can cater fully to the needs of the local community. His vision is to develop a model of general practice which is accessible by one and all and provides a world class service comparable to the best models of family medicine.
