Dr Shilpa Chequ is a highly qualified and specialised GP working with the talented Doctors&Co. team at the Cranbourne West Medical Centre.

Dr Chegu completed her training in the UK in 2009 and is a member of the UK Royal College of General Practitioners. She holds a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Diploma of Family Planning and Sexual health. Practising as a GP in Australia since 2018, Dr Chegu is a Fellow of the Australian Royal College of General Practitioners and is an Examiner for GP Registrars’ RACGP Fellowship examinations at Melbourne University, a role that is only held by medical professionals who demonstrate a strong understanding of current knowledge and best practice education and training of Australian GPs.

Dr Chegu has particular interests in chronic disease management, weight loss and management, preventative medicine, and, women’s and children’s health. She has accredited for IUD (Copper and Mirena) insertion and removals and for subdermal implants. In addition, she performs cosmetic injections and minor surgery. Dr Chequ’s focus on patient education and continuity of quality care make her a valuable member of the skilled and dedicated team at Cranbourne West Medical Centre.

When not focusing her many skills and a calm, efficient manner towards patient care she enjoys travelling, reading, music and theatre, and performing as a trained classical Indian singer.
