Dr Shidan Tosif (Paediatrician)

Shidan is a general paediatrician and father of a young baby. He has broad experience in managing health issues affecting newborns, infants, children and adolescents. Shidan takes a holistic approach to health and enjoys working with families to find solutions that best suit their needs.

He has an interest in acute and chronic health issues such as failure to thrive, asthma, eczema and urinary tract infections.

Shidan graduated from medicine with honours at the University of Western Australia before training as a paediatric physician at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

As well as working at RCH, he holds a research appointment at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.

Shidan has worked as a consultant for the World Health Organisation, and with the University of Melbourne. He has published, and continues to investigate, urine collection in children and is also involved with research in international child health focussing on newborn care.
