Dr Tween Low graduated from University of Melbourne in 1994 and trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in Canberra and Sydney. She obtained her specialist qualification from The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of O & G in 2004 and became an accredited fertility doctor with Genea, formerly Sydney IVF a year later. Tween has a Master degree in Reproductive Medicine. She is also an experienced laparoscopic surgeon, having trained as a laparoscopic fellow in Sydney’s Liverpool Hospital. Tween’s specialty is in management of infertility, including IVF for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and fertility preservation. Tween has a long standing interest in management of endometriosis and endometriosis related infertility. Tween also provides an early pregnancy monitoring service from Capital Women’s Health for women with recurrent miscarriages. Tween enjoys the challenges from treating infertility patients and the joy in helping creating families. Her practice is evidence based and individualised. Her approach to medicine is based on honesty, humour and humility. What she loves most about her work, is in fact, interacting with her patients, supporting them, and accompanying them on their individual journeys. Whether she is listening to her patients’ concerns, discussing options clearly and concisely with them, detailing management plans, or simply converting complex medical speak into plain English, Tween will always go out of her way to make sure that her patients are comfortable, and that they completely understand whatever it is she recommends. Tween appreciates that IVF can be a daunting and confusing journey. Therefore her IVF patients have access to her personal email, as well as the 24 hour nurse mobile. This ensures that all concerns can be addressed promptly. Tween is a lecturer and clinical supervisor at Australian National University Medical School. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, music and being mother to her four teenage children. Tween speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese.
