Dr Sharmi obtained her Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Fellowship in October 2017; this is a specialty degree in general practice. Dr Sharmi obtained her Bachelor degree in Medicine from Sri-Lanka; following which she obtained her Australian Medical Council Certificate (Equivalency to Australian Medical Graduate).
Dr sharmi has a thorough experience in both hospital and general practice settings, although her passion lies with general practice. Dr Sharmi particularly enjoys looking after children, women’s health and elderly patients. She completed a Rural Emergency Skills Training Course.
She also did training in Resuscitations Skills & Psychiatry. She recently has completed the Diploma in Child Health with University of Sydney; this gives her the more detailed knowledge and skills needed when dealing with children health issues.
