Sharad Shetty is a consultant cardiologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and a clinical senior lecturer with the University of Western Australia. He participates in the roster for emergency angioplasty for heart attacks at FSH.
Dr Shetty performed the first renal denervation procedure for uncontrolled blood pressure in WA and has since proctored and trained several other cardiologists both locally and internationally in this procedure. Sharad recently performed the first case in the world using the TIVUS ultrasound based renal denervation system. He is also actively involved in significant research in the area of cutting edge technologies and is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences.
