Dr Batuwangala graduated in 1999 from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka. Over the 18 years, Dr Batuwangala has trained in Surgery and he obtained a Master of Surgery in 2009. He then moved to England in 2012 before moving to Australia in the same year. He worked for 2 1/2 years at Monash Medical Centre in Victoria as a Paediatric Surgery Registrar before moving into General Practice.
