Associate Professor Shane White is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Warringal Private Hospital. He treats all solid tumour cancers and has developed extensive sub-specialty interest and expertise in breast and lung cancers.
Shane completed his medical degree at Monash University in 1991, graduating with honours and being awarded a scholarship in his final year. He gained his doctorate over two years at The Christie Cancer Centre in the UK, in 1998-1999. On his return to Melbourne in 2000, he was made a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and completed a two year post-graduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine.
Shane is currently the Lead Medical Oncologist in the Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre at The Austin Hospital and also consults in the Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Clinic. Additionally, Shane is the Director of Medical Oncology at The Northern Hospital. Finally, he is the principal investigator on many international clinical research studies. This enables him to offer patients access to new agents, in addition to well established treatment protocols.
