Dr Satbir Aulakh has a wealth of local experience and is an active community member. He has worked as a GP since December 2007 at Humpty Doo and also at Rapid Creek After Hours Medical Centre. After completing his MBBS from Assam Medical College in 1999, he worked in a private GP clinic for five years before briefly moving to the UK and then on to Mount Gambier Hospital in South Australia, where he worked as a registrar in the Emergency Department. He passed his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of GPs in 2009.
Dr Aulakh’s special interests are in the management of fractures (non operative) and dislocations, and in sports medicine where he has been treating his patients for musculoskeletal injuries. He is skilled in cortisone injections into the joints and tendons for the treatment of sports related and repetitive strain injuries (RSI).
Dr Aulakh provides treatment and management of chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, seronegative arthritis, and neurological disorders including Parkinson’s Disease, and tremors.
Dr Aulakh is a qualified cosmetic physician and is skilled in treatment with anti wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers. He also provides treatment for heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, and ingrown toe nails, as well removal of foreign bodies from cornea/ conjunctiva of the eye.
