Dr Sarah Cho graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours in 1998, and completed her physician and Gastroenterology training at Royal North Shore Hospital. She was an Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellow at Princess Alexandria Hospital, Brisbane in 2005, before she moved to Toronto, Canada to undertake Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship at The Centre for Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Oncology, St Michael’s Hospital in 2006 and 2007. During this time she was involved in clinical research in addition to further training in advanced endoscopy. She was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine by The University of Sydney for her research in endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr Cho is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at North Shore Private and Sydney Adventist Hospitals. She also has an appointment at Royal North Shore Hospital as a Staff specialist in Gastroenterology. She has a broad experience and expertise in advanced endoscopy including endoscopy, colonoscopy, complex polypectomy, endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, small bowel capsule endoscopy and balloon enteroscopy. She also has special interest in early detection and endoscopic resection of oesophageal, gastric and colon cancer. She is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and on the Executive Committee of Australian Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Association (AGEA).
