Dr Sandra Gaffney studied medicine at the University of Sydney way back in the 1970's and came to Dubbo to work as an intern in the Base Hospital in 1979. Apart from a brief sojourn in Cobar and Coonabarabran, she has worked in general practice in Dubbo since 1981. She is delighted to be part of the high quality team that is Dubbo Family Doctors.
Dr Gaffney is keen to provide care that addresses all her patient's medical needs from cradle to grave. To facilitate this she has admitting rights to Dubbo Private Hospital and Lourdes Hospital, she visits all the aged care facilities in Dubbo and also provides home visits.
Being keen to pass on the skills she has learnt, Dr Gaffney has been involved in teaching medical students and GP registrars for many years.
Dr Gaffney's interests include art, singing, bird watching, and bicycle riding, with the driving factor in all this being her Christian faith.
