Dr Deshani Ranasinghe graduated from University of Sri Jayewardenepura Sri Lanka in 2008. She moved to Australia in 2010 with her family. Since then she has worked in both Metropolitan and rural hospitals both in Victoria and Queensland.
She moved to General Practice in 2013 and practiced in the Sunshine coast. She gained her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 2018. She continued to update her skills in various fields of General practice during her time in Sunshine coast. She has completed:
- Diploma in Child health (University of Sydney),
- Diploma in Dermatology (Australian Institute of dermatology)
- Certificate in Primary care skin Cancer medicine
- Certificate in Family planning and Sexual health. Currently undergoing.
She is also working as a General Practice medical educator for QRME. When not in Clinic she spends her time with her young children and enjoys her cooking. She enjoys all aspects of General practice with special interest in Dermatology, Skin Cancer medicine and Women’s health.
