Ruchi graduated from prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi. After moving to Canberra in 2001, she joined the Canberra Hospital and worked in medical and surgical specialities. After obtaining FRACGP, she went on to complete diplomas in Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Child Health. Ruchi loves being a family physician, a trait she inherited from her father who continues to be GP to his community after a rewarding service of about 50 years. Ruchi also speaks Hindi and can understand Bengali, Panjabi and Urdu. In her spare time, she works in her vegie patch and looks after a husband, two kids and a dog.
