Dr Sloane grew up in Bomaderry and relocated back to the local area in 2010. He completed his graduate medical degree through the University of Sydney in 2005 and completed his internship and residency through Wollongong Hospital in 2006-07 with rotations at both Shoalhaven Hospital and Shellharbour Hospital. He has worked in local General Practice since 2010 and was awarded Fellowship in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011. Rod has a special interest in Aviation Medicine and completed the Diploma in Aviation Medicine through the Royal College of Physicians in 2009. He is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) for CASA and is also qualified in dive medicine, with special interests in occupational medicine and emergency medicine.
