Dr Rob Shea is a visiting dentist at the Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health. His major clinical and research interest is in the use of oral devices for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea. Dr Shea has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. He has a major interest in the education of dentists in sleep medicine. He was appointed in 2011 to the position of Senior Lecturer in Dental Sleep Medicine at the Adelaide University Dental School. Dr Shea was instrumental in the establishment of the Graduate Diploma of Dental Sleep Medicine jointly with the University of Adelaide and the University of Western Australia, a two year part time university degree available to dentists world-wide
