Dr Robert Bourke is the founder and director of Eastern Neuropsychology. He completed a Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology at The University of Melbourne in 2008. Dr Bourke has over 10 years experience in forensic neuropsychology and how cognitive impairment impacts on offending behaviour. He has also worked over the past decade assessing acquired brain injury and other causes of cognitive impairment in the criminal justice system, including the provision of expert evidence in court. Dr Bourke also has extensive experience in the areas of acute neurology, rehabilitation, geriatric neuropsychology including the diagnosis of dementia and the assessment of decision making capacity. Dr Bourke has several peer reviewed publications on the cognitive and behavioural impact of sleep disordered breathing in children. Along with his work in Eastern Neuropsychology, Dr Bourke continues his work in the public health sector, with appointments as a neuropsychology unit manager (The Royal Melbourne Hospital - Neurology Department ) and senior clinical neuropsychologist (Monash Health - Monash Medical Centre)
