Specialist interests having trained in family medicine (GP) in the USA, and having worked there for more than 27 years in both the office and hospital settings, Dr Rifat is very experienced in treating the breadth of problems presenting in general practice in all ages and in both sexes. He has special interests in management of diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension and psychiatric disorders. He was also trained and experienced with caring for skin cancers and minor office procedures. Having attained his fellowship recently from Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, and having applied for his residency in Australia, he plans on being here for a long time. He and his wife Pat enjoy exploring their new country. He graduated in June 1980 and has worked here since July 2010, he spent 27 years in California, USA. He is available from Monday through to Friday by appointment.
