Dr Bec is a Paediatric Surgeon specialising in the treatment and management of paediatric surgical conditions. She has a special interest in neonatal, urology, and minimal access (laparoscopic) surgery.
Dr Bec is the Director of Paediatric Trauma at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and in addition she is also part of the hospital Burns Unit, Paediatric Surgical Unit, Urology Department and heavily involved in cancer surgery for children. She is affiliated with the University of Adelaide and sits on a number of committees and holds several advisory positions.
Dr Bec recognises each child is unique and tailors her service for each family and child. Bec is constantly updating her methods to reflect best practice for better patient outcomes.
Bec grew up in Adelaide and after living and working in Melbourne, Auckland and Bristol she now lives in the Adelaide Hills with her husband and two children. She has an interest in archaeology and has an arts degree after studying bone deposits in ancient sites of southern Italy
