Kiran graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) University, India, with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He secured above 95th percentile scores in international medical licensing examinations of USA and UK. After migrating to Australia in 2007, he stood second in Australian Medical Council examination. Subsequently, he completed physician training at Box Hill hospital and undertook advanced clinical cardiology training at Eastern Health, Monash Health and Peninsula Health from 2011 to 2013.
Kiran is well versed with all aspects of cardiac CT interpretation. He has a particular interest in the role of non invasive imaging in the assessment of coronary plaque and is currently undertaking a PhD to compare Cardiac CT with invasive coronary imaging such as IVUS and OCT. Kiran is also the recipient of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Scholarship as well as the Monash Health Clinical Academic Scholarship.
