Dr Rafi Huq is an interventional cardiologist who has been a staff specialist at Austin Health for over 10 years. He also has admitting rights to Warringal Private Hospital, The Epworth and The Valley Private Hospitals.
Dr Huq originally trained at Monash Medical Centre and has previously had appointments at Frankston and Geelong Hospital. He completed a 2 year fellowship in interventional cardiology at both the Ottawa Heart Institute and Montreal Heart Institute prior to 2006.
His particular area of expertise is in performing coronary angiography and angioplasty via the transradial approach, which he has been doing for the last 10 years.
