Priya graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 2001. She then completed specialist Anaesthetic training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as well as a fellowship in Obstetric Anaesthesia at the Royal Womens Hospital, Melbourne.
Priya currently works as a consultant anaesthetist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women's Hospital as well as a number of private hospitals including Frances Perry House, Epworth Campuses and Melbourne Private. Her interests are in anaesthesia for Obstetrics and gynaecology, Plastic and General surgery.
Priya is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and a member of the Australian Medical Association and Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
