Dr Philippa Shilson graduated from Monash University in 2003. Philippa’s postgraduate training as a general paediatrician included roles as the Chief Registrar at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne in 2010, and a year of training in child protection medicine with the Victorian Forensic Paediatric Medical Service. Philippa joined the Geelong Paediatric Group on Ryrie Street in March 2014 and then founded the Geelong Children’s Clinic in 2016. Philippa also works as a general paediatrician at Barwon Health (University Hospital Geelong), and volunteers as an instructor with the Advanced Paediatric Life Support programs taught across Australia. Philippa welcomes all general paediatric medicine referrals, and has special interests in poor growth, eczema, obesity and complex family dynamics. Philippa’s current waiting list time is between 3 – 8 months for new referrals.
