Dr Philip (Christopher) Wimbury was born and raised in Johannesburg. Graduating from the University of Pretorius, he completed four years of general practice in the rural centre of Rustenburg – near Sun City Holiday Resort – before moving to Edenhope in Australia in 2001 and then commencing work as one of the doctors at Horsham’s Lister House Medical Clinic in March 2006.
His special interests are all aspects of general practice including women’s health, skin surgery and substance abuse treatments including methadone and suboxone prescribing, as well as pain management.
Dr Wimbury’s personal interests are science and squash.
