Dr Phil Aitken is a VMO at St Andrew’s and is also the Director of Rehabilitation. Dr Aitken has held his position on the hospital’s Medical Advisory Committee since 2001.
He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1980, and has been a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians since 1988.
Dr Aitken was heavily involved in the establishment of the acute stroke unit at St Andrew’s and stroke management and dementia are some of Dr Aitken’s special interest areas.
