Dr Phillip Artemi first graduated from Sydney University as a Pharmacist in 1983. He then completed his MBBS (UNSW) and Master of Medicine (Sydney University) before entering Specialist Dermatology training where he attained Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Following further training he obtained his Mohs and Laser Surgery Fellowship (Skin and Cancer Foundation, Australia). Dr Artemi is also an International Fellow of the prestigious American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and a National Trainer for Merz Aesthetics Australia.


Dr Artemi is one of Australia’s leading Dermatologists in the areas of Skin Cancer Management, Cosmetic Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and Laser Surgery. He has a special interest in the treatment of acne and acne scarring as well as Vitiligo surgery. Dr Artemi is a Visiting Medical Officer in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Skin and Cancer Foundation where he pioneered in 2015 the introduction to Australia of autologous melanocyte transplantation in the treatment of vitiligo.


Dr Artemi is a past Director of Training (NSW Faculty), past Chairman of the Teaching Learning Committee, past Member of the Board of Directors, and immediate past Honorary Secretary of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.


Dr Artemi has presented both locally and internationally at Scientific Meetings and comments regularly on Dermatology in the media where he has featured on Sunday Night with Mike Monroe, The Today Show, A Current Affair, Mornings with Kerri-Ann, Margaret Throsby ABC Radio, Sydney radio 2GB, ABC and 2UE, Fairfax Newspapers and in magazines such as Madison, Cosmopolitan, Prevention and Practical Parenting. Dr Artemi has co-authored a book (with Ms Tina Aspres) titled “All About Kids Skin – The Essential Guide For Parents” published by ABC Books. He has been prominent in formulating and promoting a number of successful Skin Cancer Action Campaigns in conjunction with the Australian Cancer Council
