Dr Peter Hales specialises in hand and upper limb surgery. His expertise includes both arthroscopic, and reconstructive, surgery of the shoulder, elbow and hand.
Dr Hales obtained his Specialist Degree in Orthopaedics in 1980, and travelled to England to undertake a Fellowship in Hand Surgery in 1981. He then completed post graduate studies in Hand and Upper Limb surgery in Europe and the USA.
Dr Hales has presented extensively, both locally and internationally, on surgery of the hand, shoulder and upper limb, and is a past president of both the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, and the Australian Hand Surgery Society. He is a foundation member of the Asian Shoulder Society, and a past chairman of the Western Australian Orthopaedic Association.
