Brisbane born and University of Queensland trained, Dr Alroe has been living and practicing on the Sunshine Coast since 1996. He finds the variety of people, age groups and backgrounds, keeps family practice interesting and fresh. Dr Alroe has a specialised interest in skin cancer identification and treatment, the use of technology to assist skin examinations and refining surgical techniques. He finds great satisfaction in providing affordable and high quality treatment that might otherwise be out of reach for many. Dr Alroe also spends time each week caring for the needs of the elderly in a nearby residential aged care facility. Away from medicine, he can be found careering down off-road cycling tracks, peddling the length and breadth of the Sunshine Coast roads or indulging the silliness of his young grandkids.
