Dr Gerald is a passionate doctor who has been working in General Practice in Australia and Sri Lanka for many years. He graduated from the University of Jaffna in Sri Lanka with his medical degree in 2002. He worked in General Practice in Sri Lanka for over 7 years. In addition to his work as a family physician, his career included working in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo at the National Hospital in Accident services and in operating theatres as a medical officer for anaesthesia.
He emigrated to Australia and continues to follow his passion for General Practice. What drives his passion is the way General Practice gives him the opportunity to gain knowledge through treating a large variety of patients in his day to day work which is further built upon by the continuum of study that has become part and partial of being a modern day doctor. His areas of special interest in General Practice are performing minor surgical procedures, Men’s Health, Sexual Health and Skin Cancer Medicine.
