Associate Professor Paul Wraight obtained his medical degree from The University of Melbourne before completing his specialist training in Endocrinology. He successfully completed his PhD studying ways of reducing limb amputations in individuals with diabetes.

He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne, head of the Diabetic Foot Unit at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Consultant Endocrinologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Broadmeadows Health Service and Melbourne Private Hospital. His major research interest is diabetes and diabetes related foot complications, being the co-chair for Diabetic Foot Australia and an Australian representative for the International Working Group of the Diabetic Foot.

He consults in the area of diabetes, all aspects of general endocrinology and osteoporosis. He is actively involved in the teaching and supervision of medical and podiatry students, having been a clinical sub-dean for The Royal Melbourne Hosptial.
