Dr Ryan is a General Paediatrician who has been a Consultant at the Mater since 1983. He is also a Visiting Senior Consultant Paediatrician to The Townsville Hospital and consults privately at his rooms on Fulham Road. He sees babies and children of all ages and has a special interest in Paediatric Neurology, childhood disability and Developmental Paediatrics. He is an enthusiastic advocate for disabled children and their needs. He is also very attune to the problems of country isolation and is available for Telemedicine consultations. He is a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, Australian College of Paediatricians, Paediatric Society of Qld, Australian Epilepsy Association, Qld Epilepsy Association and is the regional representative of the Qld Paediatric Epilepsy Network. He is also patron of the Townsville Multiple Birth Association.
