Dr Pamela Weir (Ophthalmologist)

Dr Pamela Weir is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides a wide range of services across all subspecialties including cataract surgery, eyelid surgery including tumour removal and droopy eyelid problems, retinal problems including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology and paediatric screening.

Dr Weir obtained her medical degree in 1987 and went on to specialise in Ophthalmology, obtaining her Membership of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in the UK. She then trained at Sydney Eye Hospital and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 1996.

Dr Weir is the founder of myeyespecialist at Ballina and more recently Robina. She is joined by a group of Ophthalmologists with over 60 years experience between them.

Dr Weir is the author of the “The Little Red Eye Book” and has been involved in teaching surgery to Ophthalmology Registrars. She has given many lectures to Registrars, Optometrists, Medical Students and Ancillary staff.
