Dr Olive McBride (Geriatrician)

Dr Olive McBride is a geriatrician and a consultant physician and currently works as a staff specialist in Campbelltown and Camden public hospitals.

She achieved her fellowship in geriatric medicine in 2015. Her areas of interest include cognition, delirium, falls and frailty. ​ Dr McBride was born and raised in Kenya. After completing high school, she taught piano for a year in Kenya before undertaking undergraduate studies in science in West Virginia, USA, followed by a postgraduate medical degree at University of Sydney (2004). She has since made Australia her home and enjoys travelling (her aim is to go to a new country and Australian location each year).

She enjoys working with the elderly as she especially enjoys hearing their life stories and feels we have a lot to learn from our elders. When she is not working, she is busy raising her young family.
