Dr Olive McBride is a geriatrician and a consultant physician and currently works as a staff specialist in Campbelltown and Camden public hospitals.
She achieved her fellowship in geriatric medicine in 2015. Her areas of interest include cognition, delirium, falls and frailty. Dr McBride was born and raised in Kenya. After completing high school, she taught piano for a year in Kenya before undertaking undergraduate studies in science in West Virginia, USA, followed by a postgraduate medical degree at University of Sydney (2004). She has since made Australia her home and enjoys travelling (her aim is to go to a new country and Australian location each year).
She enjoys working with the elderly as she especially enjoys hearing their life stories and feels we have a lot to learn from our elders. When she is not working, she is busy raising her young family.
