Dr Jayasinghe is a very experienced and kind doctor who has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She began her medical career in Sri Lanka in 1983 when she graduated from Ruhuna University with her medical degree. Over the next three decades she worked in rural hospitals as well as major urban tertiary hospitals in Sri Lanka, then she continued her work in Saudi Arabia for several years before migrating to Australia where she has enjoyed working with her local community as their General Practitioner. In Australia, she has enjoyed working in a variety of settings but loved General Practice the most so she has completed her postgraduate training to become a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice(FRACGP). What she enjoys most about medicine is the satisfaction she gains from making people feel better. She also has a particular interest in Children’s Health and enjoys working patiently and kindly with the youngest members of our community to help them grow and live as healthily as possible.
