Dr Nicole Organ is a Vascular and Endovascular surgeon at John Hunter Hospital and Lake Macquarie private hospital, providing vascular health care, advice and surgery. At John Hunter Hospital as well a being a senior staff specialist she is the Deputy Director of Surgical Sevices and the Director of Vascular Surgery. Dr Nicole Organ is a senior member of the Vascular Health Care team providing consultation in vascular conditions and supervising vascular ultrasound services. Dr Organ is passionate about improving medical education and patient care, and participates in many activities locally and nationally to further this cause. Her activities include clinical chair of the Hunter New England wound care stream, member of the Adelaide Vascular Trials and board member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Board of Vascular Surgery. She believes in comprehensive vascular health care that achieves the best possible outcomes for her patients. To do this Dr Organ takes into account the whole patient , ensuring she spends time with her patients to understand all aspects of their health and related factors. She discusses the options of care with her patients to help them make an informed choice about their vascular condition and its management. Dr Organ collaborates with other specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care. She offers vascular surgery using minimally invasive techniques such as endovascular surgery where appropriate. Dr Organ stays at the forefront of vascular surgery innovations through attendance and presentations at conferences and workshops, as well as working closely with specialized vascular ultrasonographers and medical specialists. She provides diagnosis of vascular conditions and advice about preventative care and non operative therapies. Dr Organ performs a wide range of operative vascular surgeries and minimally invasive endovascular procedures and enters her operative results for analysis by the national Australian Vascular Audit.
