Dr. Niall Barrett is originally from Cork, Ireland and graduated from the University College Cork in 1988. He completed his Cornish GP Vocational training program in 1993, obtaining a MRCGP in London in December 1993. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health, which was obtained from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1991 and a Diploma of Obstetrics from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 1991. He migrated to Australia in 1994 and took over Melville Plaza Medical Centre in 1996. He became incorporated with IPN in 1999 and moved to Point Walter Medical Centre in June 2001. He is married with two children and his outside interests include water sports such as kite-surfing, surfing, and fishing.
