Dr Natalie Yap is a clinical endocrinologist who manages all general endocrinology, with a particular interest in thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer. She completed her basic physician training at Monash Health (previously known as Southern Health), and completed further training at Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital (QLD), Prince of Wales Hospital (NSW) and Royal North Shore Hospital (NSW). She worked in a busy private practice in Sydney and North Shore Private Hospital until recently returning to Melbourne. As part of her work with thyroid cancer patients in Sydney, she was a member of the Endocrine Tumour Multidisciplinary Team at Royal North Shore Hospital and worked closely with both the Nuclear Medicine Department at RNSH and high volume thyroid surgeons to provide excellent multidisciplinary care and long-term follow-up for patients from NSW, ACT and QLD. She regularly attends local and international conferences to ensure she is up to date with the latest research and best evidence-based practice. Natalie also has a keen interest in mentoring and teaching and was previously a Clinical Lecturer with the Sydney Medical School (Northern) of the University of Sydney. Her memberships include the Endocrine Society of Australia and the Australian Diabetes Society.
