Doctor Nadim Cody is another Rocky local. He went to school at Gracemere State and Rockhampton State High School. He then went on to do an undergraduate in Biomedical Science at CQU and graduated from Medicine at the University of Queensland in 2008. He spent a few years at Ipswich General Hospital in various departments and spent some time in the surrounding region, particularly at Esk hospital. In 2012 he had the opportunity to volunteer with Medecins Sans Frontiéres (Doctors without Borders) in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea and went on to do another mission in 2013 in the Nuba mountains of Sudan. He maintains an interest in palliative care and last year worked in the inpatient palliative care unit at the Wesley Hospital, Brisbane and did palliative home visiting with Karuna Home and Community Palliative Care. Dr Cody aims to be a well-rounded GP and in the future to develop his particular interests in Remote Health, Indigenous health and in Palliative Care.
