Dr Naadir Gutta is a clinical haematologist and haemato-oncologist based primarily at Icon Cancer Care’s Southport and South Brisbane day hospitals, with a weekly session at Sunnybank Private Hospital. He has clinical interests in both malignant and non-malignant haematology and transfusion medicine.
Dr Gutta completed his undergraduate training at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and has trained at many large facilities in Queensland, including Gold Coast University Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. From 2011 to 2013, Dr Gutta was the national trainee representative on the Joint Specialist Advisory Committee in Haematology.
Dedicated to furthering junior doctor education, Dr Gutta has provided educational support and delivered lectures at a number of institutions including Griffith Medical School and Bond University. This year, he is lecturing regularly at The University of Queensland’s School of Medicine.
Dr Gutta has been actively involved in a number of research projects during his training and continues to have a keen interest in research particularly into malignant haematological conditions.
