Dr Mohini Prasad has interests in Mental Health, Adolescent and Aged Care Medicine and Women's Health.
Dr Mohini Prasad is a United World College graduate (Canada 1995), completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Fiji in 2001 and has run her own medical practice there for 7 years, before migrating to Australia. She obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014, and has joined the practice permanently. Apart from love for all aspects of General Practice, she has particular interests in Mental Health, Adolescent, Aged Care Medicine and Women’s Health, with 4 years of vocational clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
She has served as secretary of the Standards Committee and Chaired Education Committee -Central Faculty with the Fiji College of General Practitioners while in Fiji. She has been actively involved in organising educational programs for GPs and undertaking ‘on air’ health awareness programs in Fiji. Dr Prasad is aligned with the Mater Mother’s and Metro North Antenatal Care and has commenced IUD (Mirena) insertions at the practice. She also does IUD removals, Implanon insertions and removals.
She enjoys travelling and activities with her son and has interests in yoga, outdoor and creative activities and philosophy (poetry).
