Mo is a UK trained surgeon. He started his medical training in Turkey in the prestigious Hacettepe School of medicine in Ankara. He then moved to the UK to start surgical training. He completed his basic and higher specialist training in the Merseyside region. He spent time working with eminent surgeons who are world leaders in their specialities at the Royal Liverpool Hospital and University Hospital Aintree in Liverpool, UK. Mo travelled to Perth to complete Post-Fellowship Training with Professor David Fletcher, a world authority in Upper GI Surgery, and his team including Mr Krishna Epari and Mr Alan Thomas. Following this, he was invited to stay on and join the Fremantle Hospital Upper GI Unit as a Consultant Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Mo is a specialist surgeon offering treatment for benign and malignant upper gastrointestinal, pancreatic, liver and biliary tract conditions. He also offers surgery for obesity and metabolic syndrome. He has an interest in abdominal wall hernias including simple and complex reconstructions. He performs advanced laparoscopic surgery for malignant and benign conditions such Hiatal Hernias, Gallbladder and bile duct surgery, cancer of the stomach, oesophagus, liver and pancreas. He also performs simple and complex endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP.
