Dr Michelle Tan is a specialist physician in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine.

She graduated from the University of Adelaide and completed her Respiratory specialist training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital followed by a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Dr Tan is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and accredited in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. She is also a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), European Respiratory Society (ERS), American Thoracic Society (ATS) and Australasian Sleep Association (ASA). She is active in ongoing education of junior doctors and currently holds a Clinical Associate Lecturer position at the University of Adelaide School of Medicine.

Her interests include interstitial lung disease, COPD and lung cancer as well as various sleep disorders including sleep apnoea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, REM behaviour disorder, parasomnias and circadian rhythm disorders.
