Dr Sobotta studied radiography at Sydney University, graduating in 1996, living and working at Bathurst Hospital for 2 years. He then moved to the Newcastle area for 1 year before returning to Sydney to study medicine, again at Sydney University. Graduated MBBS Honours in 2004 and trained at St Vincent’s, Prince of Wales, Wagga Wagga, Armidale and Orange Hospitals. Dr Sobotta decided to move to General Practice training to better suit his family needs and completed General Practice training in South Australia at the end of 2010, including a sub-specialty term in GP general surgery at Port Lincoln which focussed on skin cancer surgery, including skin grafts and other complex repairs.
Dr Sobotta also works in the Emergency Department at Orange Hospital, is involved in medical student, junior doctor and GP registrar teaching and has an interest in GP Dermatology.
Lives in Nashdale area since 2011 with his wife and 3 young daughters and a few hundred apple and apricot trees!
